Mr. Calleb Ochieng' Ogutu
Mr. Ogutu is the Chairman/Executive Director of the organisation. He has been acting in this position since the organisation was registered in December 2003. He boasts an impressive experience in the management and running of NGOs in Kenya. He combines the unique experience gained in both the private industry and NGOs since 1994. He has worked as an Accounts and Administration Assistant with St. Austin's Service Station Ltd. between 1994 and 1997 and later moved to Broad link Agencies and West End Electricals Ltd between March 1997-December 1999 as the Operations and Accounts Manager before finally joining AREP Foundation, a local NGO, in January 2000 as a Projects and Administration Officer in charge of the Revolving Loan Fund for the Refugee Programme. He later rose through the ranks and was promoted to the position of Programmes and Administration Manager, a position he held until July 2003.
Since then, he has concentrated his efforts on the establishment of IDAP and has also been providing part time consultancy services to a number of small CBOs on the aspects of Proposal Development and Management. He has attended several conferences, seminars and workshops on the management and fundraising strategies for NGOs in Kenya.
Mr. Ogutu holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Government from the University of Nairobi. He is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Economics at the same university. He is a Kenyan citizen and married with two children.
Mr. John Ahaya Malamba
Mr. Ahaya Malamba is the Chief Architect and founder of Integrated Development Africa Programmes (IDAP). He is the current Programmes Director and he is the key driving force behind IDAP. John has an impressive record and experience in business management and has worked for a number of organisations in Nairobi Kenya in different capacities since leaving college. He has been instrumental in the establishment of IDAP as an organisation and now devotes much of his time on coordinating the activities of the organisation. It is from his personal vision and tireless efforts that the concept of forming IDAP was born. He is currently gaining a lot of experience in the NGO world. John is a fast learner, is very committed and perfectly suits his new role as the Programmes Director.
John, a Kenyan citizen, holds an Advanced Diploma in Business Management from Intra Global College of Business Studies, Nairobi. John is married with children and is a devoted Christian. He is a firm believer in the idea of supporting the needy and empowering the less fortunate members of society, especially the rural masses in social development.
Mr. Charles Oduor
Mr. Oduor is one of the most active board members and his contribution to the activities of the organisation in both material and physical terms is outstanding since the formative stages of the organisation. Mr. Oduor who is also the General Secretary of the organisation has an impressive record in both the print media and NGO world where he has now worked for over 16 years.
He has worked for most of the major media houses in Kenya including The Standard, where he was a household name when he conducted weekly interviews as a resource person for Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC). These interviews were conducted with various VIPs on business related television programmes such as Economic Forum and Business Press Conference and Business Africa where he was the Business Editor and planned, developed and launched a distinct editorial policy, which saw the paper's circulation in Africa shoot from about 1,750,000 to over 3,500,000 in less than one year. The paper's readership also shot to over 37 million during the same period.
He is currently in charge of the communications department in an international organisation. Mr. Oduor holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics as well as a Master of Arts Degree in Communications and Development Studies from the University of Nairobi. He in addition holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Newspaper Journalism and environmental Journalism from Rhodes University, South Africa. Mr. Oduor has another Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from the Chartership College of Business and Management Studies, United Kingdom. He is currently pursuing a PhD Degree at the University of Nairobi, School of Economics. He is a Kenyan citizen and is married with two children.
Mr. Edward Mbogo
Mr. Mbogo is a coordinator/consultant and he is in charge of IDAP special programmes, which are aimed at; Climate Change, Clean Production Technology and Organic and Solid Waste Management. Mr. Mbogo has 28 years experience working in the public sector and for non-governmental organisations. This includes:
Livestock project liaison officer for EEC (formerly) where he funded the Machakos Integrated Development Program (MIDP) in the former larger Machakos District (1982-1986).
Canadian government funded bee-keeping project in the former larger South Nyanza district (1986-1990).
Danida funded Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASAL) programme in the former Taita Taveta district for the Ministry of Livestock Development.
Co-ordinated bee keeping training and technology development through DFID funding (2002-2003).
Programme co-ordinator for the Bee Development Project International in Naivasha. The programme popularized the enterprise for its role in self sterile crop development and environmental conservation and management.
Bee-keeping training through World Bank funding in Botswana and Lesotho (2004-2005)
Bee-keeping training and technology development funded by the Arid Lands Resources Management project in Kajiado district (2006).
Distributed biogas technology development from solid waste in Uri Canton in Switzerland towards certified emission reduction (2007-2008).
Mr. Mbogo holds a MSc in plant breeding, BSc Agric (Moi Univ.), Diploma Agric (Bukura), Diploma Apiculture (Israel).
Mrs. Siprose Rabach
Mrs. Rabach is a key member of the Board and is the Treasurer of IDAP. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Nairobi, and a Diploma in Human Resources Management from the Kenya Institute of Management. She is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Daystar University.
Mrs. Rabach, has a strong background in managing development programs with a particular bias on women and youth empowerment programs. She worked for over 7 years with Jamii Bora Trust, one of the leading microfinance institutions in the country where her responsibilities included facilitating training programs for economic empowerment through Micro-enterprise Development Programs geared towards poverty eradication.
She is currently working as the Program Manager in Africa Inland Church (AIC) Childcare Department where she is in charge of implementing a Vocational Training Program for the vulnerable school drop outs. The project is funded by the Dutch Government through the Help a Child Initiative, Netherlands.
